Urmila Public School has always taught discipline in a unique way. The discipline taught in Urmila Public School cannot be matched by any other institution because here, discipline is not imposed, but understood.

From day one this institute instils in its pupils self-control, truthfulness, unselfishness and frankness. Of course, some students happen to misuse this freedom, but most of them come to realize the benefits of being disciplined.

This novel approach does create a misconception in some minds and Urmila Public School is considered “less disciplined” at times. However, it is an indisputable fact that a majority of the Modernites have turned out to be super successful in their lives. Indomitable self confidence has become a the hallmark of a Modernite.

computer Classes

Meet Technology, the presiding member of the computer Lab. We have been successful in bringing technology to our classrooms with the introduction of interactive System. These allow students to interact with the lesson content while allowing teachers to integrate a range of resources with their lessons.

Library

The School library is a learning resource center in the widest sense as it houses information resources, expansive reading material and digital data with internet access. The library is well stocked with a wide collection of books and CDs on a variety of subjects. Each computer station has an access to the internet. Children is encouraged to use the internet for reference work to prepare there projects. There are surveillance stations to monitor the students' stations and to ensure that undesirable sites are not explored.

Art & Craft

The Visual Arts are an expression of creativity and imagination. It is an outlet for individual thought, visualization exploration of inner creativity, expression of imagination and interpretation of ideas, events and environment.The endeavour is to infuse a sense of aesthetic appreciation in each child, an ability to enjoy and appreciate beauty. The elaborate Art Studios with the finest faculty guide the children to achieve finesse through numerous techniques and History of Art.

Chemistry Lab

The chemistry Lab often contains laboratory facilities. The classroom/laboratory should be vacant one period per day for safe lab preparation and maintenance. Teachers must have adequate preparation time. Lab activities should only be conducted in a science classroom/lab that is outfitted with proper lab and safety equipment. Special effort must be made to ensure that laboratory tables are never used for food activities.

Biology Lab

The Biology Lab is inculcated in each child through exploration, observation & discovery. A hands-on approach is adopted at all developmental stages leading to conceptual understanding and an inquisitive and analytical mind. Emphasis is laid on sensitizing the learners to the application of concepts in not only day to day lives but also in the service of humanity and as a major instrument for achieving goals of self reliance, socio-economic and socio-ecological development

Sports

The objective of school sports is the enrichment of the high school experiences of students within the context of the educational mission of schools. As such, school sports should be educational and contribute to the overall education of all students, not athletes only. Other objectives of school sports logically follow from the educational mission: citizenship, sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork, respect, and health and welfare of all students not only during the school years but continuing into adulthood.
